Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced DCN Electrical Engineer / Drafter to support the design and development of electrical systems for Hyperscale Data Center Modules. This individual will work closely with Engineering leadership to provide detailed electrical drawings, equipment BOMs, material take-offs, and design documentation while ensuring compliance with customer specifications, industry standards, and quality requirements.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in EPC modular design environments, advanced proficiency with SolidWorks, and strong knowledge of electrical design practices within data center, industrial, or modular construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and review electrical drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs) based on customer requirements.
Prepare detailed Material Take-Offs (MTOs) and equipment BOMs independently.
Ensure all drawings comply with Engineering, QA/QC, and company standards.
Create electrical design packages including:
Cable routing drawings
Panel layouts and panel drawings
Electrical schematics
Interconnect diagrams
Loop diagrams
Single-line diagrams
Cable schedules
Lighting and instrument layouts
Earthing/grounding details
I/O schedules
Electrical termination hook-ups
Prepare layout drawings to demonstrate equipment placement and functionality.
Support troubleshooting efforts through design simulation and drawing reviews.
Develop Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) procedures and sequence drawings.
Prepare installation documentation for customer submissions.
Review vendor drawings and technical documentation for compliance.
Coordinate and oversee outsourced engineering and design activities.
Generate reports and extract design data from engineering models.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and contribute lessons learned to enhance engineering processes.
Required Qualifications
Education
Technical Certification in Electrical Design, Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related discipline.
Experience
Minimum 5 years of electrical design and drafting experience.
Experience supporting Hyperscale Data Center Modules, high-density data centers, modular facilities, or comparable industrial environments.
Strong understanding of electrical systems used in critical infrastructure and facility applications.
Ability to create detailed design drawings and technical sketches independently.
Experience with CAD and BIM software platforms.
