Engineering Job Summary Freeport LNG, a leading force in the global LNG market, is excited to launch its Summer Internship Program. Internship opportunities exist at our Terminal locations in Quintana, TX. Students can apply for internships focused on Engineering or. Projects The 2027 Summer Internship Program will run from late May to early August. Students will work with managers, provide support to their departments, interact with employees, vendors, and team members. The internship will focus on supporting various initiatives, department objectives, and impactful projects. Interns will also work closely with a mentor for the duration of the program. At the conclusion of the internship program, students will deliver a presentation to senior leadership highlighting the projects they worked on Duties/Responsibilities Capital Projects Preferred majors: Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering Partner on capital projects in a cross-functional team environment alongside project managers, subcontractors, and construction teams.

Possible project work includes:

Debottlenecking studies Aftercooler remediation Flare reduction initiatives Loading rate increase evaluations Feasibility study on converting ethylene service to ethane Participation in PFD, P&ID, and HAZOP reviews, as well as model and pre-startup reviews Support of commissioning, startup, and post-startup activities, including troubleshooting Process Engineering Preferred major: Chemical Engineering Work as a key member of the process engineering group supporting the terminal's day-to-day operation and optimization.

Possible work includes:

Process modeling, simulation, and performance analysis Day-to-day technical support to operations and maintenance Engineering design, technical reports, and recommendations Root cause analysis and troubleshooting of process upsets Instrumentation & Controls Engineering Preferred majors: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Instrumentation & Controls Join the I&C group supporting the instrumentation, control systems, and safety systems that keep the terminal running.

Possible work includes:

Instrument air expansion project Support of control system and field instrumentation projects Interface with operations and maintenance on control system performance All tracks: Interns participate in site safety activities and daily HSE practices as active members of the team. Minimum Qualification/Work Experience Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis Pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation & Controls, or equivalent Current class standing: Sophomore through Senior, or Graduate Student Expected graduation date: Fall 2027 through Fall 2029 Available for a minimum of ten (10) continuous weeks Able to obtain and maintain site access requirements for all Freeport LNG locations Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Actively participate in the HSE and Process Safety Management System Policies. Ensure that HSE concerns are given priority in all activities completed within their area of responsibility. Implement routine inspections to ensure safe operating conditions.
