Electrical Engineer
Job Description
Subsidiary Steel Dynamics Overview Provides electrical engineering, technical, and process engineering support for facility and melting operations. Responsibilities Reviews engineering logs, production performance, and data to troubleshoot operational questions and problems. Provides electrical and automation repairs and improvements. Design level understanding of Low, Medium, and High Voltage control and distribution. Responsible for documentation such as print updates, procedures, maintenance reports, etc. Makes improvements by modifying automation, electrical and mechanical systems as well as recommending changes to the process. Provides engineering design, changes, implementation, and capital projects. Act as a technical resource for operators regarding operation and functionality of equipment. Plan and execute maintenance down periods.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline Strong project management skills Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products Good understanding of closed loop control systems Maintenance experience preferred
• Proficient in automation, AC drives, process controls, Siemens PLCs and software is a plus. Ability to prioritize multiple projects to ensure timeliness. Steel Dynamics Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
