Job Description
We have an outstanding Contract position for anElectrical Engineeringto join a leading Company located in theSalt Lake City, UT surrounding area.
Pay Rate:
$63.00-$67.00 DOE
•US Citizenship is required.
•Candidate must possess an Active Secret Security Clearance.

Job Responsibilities:
+ Responsible for architecting , designing , developing , modifying , evaluating , and integrating power electronics and motor control hardware for complex, high-performance systems.
+ Applies expertise in power conversion, motor drive circuits, control hardware, and associated electrical subsystems to support product development from concept through verification.
+ Determines design approaches, key parameters, and hardware architectures based on system requirements, performance objectives, schedule, and cost constraints.
+ Performs preliminary design activities, detailed electrical analysis, component selection, and trade studies to ensure technical feasibility and robust system performance.
+ Develops and maintains schematic capture, supports hardware layout guidance, and generates required engineering documentation throughout the product lifecycle.
+ Conducts detailed analyses such as power stage design, magnetics, switching behavior, thermal considerations, control interface implementation, component derating, reliability, and fault protection.
+ Evaluates electrical requirements and interfaces to ensure proper operation within the larger system environment.
+ Identifies component operational characteristics that may affect efficiency, controllability, EMI/EMC performance, reliability, manufacturability, and sustainability.
+ Plans and executes laboratory testing, troubleshoots hardware issues, analyzes results, and documents findings through test reports, technical reports, and design review materials.
+ Leads or supports technical reviews and may serve as review lead for design, test, and verification activities. Works closely with systems, mechanical, software, firmware, manufacturing, test, and other cross-functional engineering teams to ensure successful integration and overall product functionality.
+ Responsible for executing assigned efforts to schedule and budget, tracking technical progress, identifying risks, and supporting resolution of technical and programmatic issues.
+ May assess supplier and vendor capability to support development and production objectives.
+ Includes application of specialized skill sets such as power electronics, motor control, analog and digital design, control systems, embedded interfaces, CCA design, magnetics, and system integration as required.
Basic Hiring Criteria:
+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
+ Teamwork.
+ Strong communication skills, including presentations and customer communication.
+ Good reprioritization skills.
+ Ability to work independently.
Desired Qualifications:
+ Knowledge and familiarity of MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-1275, MIL-STD-1399, and
MIL-STD-461
