Job Description

Our client is currently seeking a Project Electrical Engineer Key Responsibilities Lead the design and development of electrical power and control systems for complex robotic, electromechanical, and automation projects. Create electrical system designs from high-level requirements with minimal supervision. Conduct design reviews and ensure technical quality throughout project execution. Collaborate with mechanical, software, and systems engineering teams. Support system integration, troubleshooting, testing, and validation activities. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership when needed. Prepare technical documentation, schematics, and engineering deliverables. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field. 7+ years of experience in electrical system design, testing, integration, troubleshooting, and automation/robotics. Experience with power systems, control systems, and electromechanical equipment. Strong knowledge of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and system documentation. Hands-on experience with system assembly, integration, and testing. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship required. Preferred Skills COTS hardware integration and interface design. Embedded systems, microcontrollers, and Single Board Computers (SBCs).
Communication protocols:
Ethernet, USB, RS-232/422/485, SPI, I2C, CAN. DC power systems design and power/energy calculations. EMI/noise reduction, grounding, cabling, and wiring design. Electrical CAD & simulation tools: Altium, AutoCAD, SolidWorks Electrical, MATLAB, SPICE, MathCAD.
Electronic test equipment:
Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, Power Analyzers. PCB design, robotics, automation, brushless motor drives, and control systems. Fiber optics and machine safety standards. Knowledge of engineering standards (IEEE, ANSI, IEC, ISO, NEC, MIL-STD). Strong communication and documentation skills. Ability to travel occasionally (1-2 weeks at a time).
