Job Description

Lawrence Perry and Associates, a Roanoke based consulting engineering firm with over 50 years in business, is seeking a proactive, articulate and client-oriented individual to join our Electrical Engineering Department. The position involves designing electrical systems for new and renovated buildings, primarily educational, commercial, institutional, and healthcare. Sign on bonus for new hires. Finders fee/reference bonus available for successful hires.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Two years of experience in building design with knowledge of construction document plans and specifications.
  • Knowledge of power distribution systems, lighting and lighting control systems, and fire alarm systems. Knowledge of low-voltage communication systems and lightning protection systems are a plus.
  • Computer skills that include knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Revit. Visual, Comcheck, and SKM are a plus.
  • Has excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
  • Is team oriented but able to work independently as needed.
  • Knowledge of National Electrical Code, Building Codes, Energy Codes, and NPFA Codes.

$80,000.00
  • $110,000.
