Position Title:

Senior Electrical Engineer (Compute & System Implementation)

Position Description:

Protingent Staffing has an exciting Contract Senior Electrical Engineer opportunity located in Bellevue, WA.

This role supports a high-visibility development program for next-generation automated logistics platforms. We are seeking a hands-on Senior Electrical Engineer with strong experience in high-speed digital implementation, power distribution, and hardware characterization.

You will focus on the detailed circuit design, module-level architecture, schematic capture, and validation of high-performancepute hardware supporting automated vision, machine learning, and high-speed data processing systems.

Job Responsibilities:
Electrical Implementation:

Lead detailed electrical design and schematic capture forplex PCBAs incorporating multi-corepute platforms, high-speed memory, and advanced peripheral interfaces.

Module Architecture:

Collaborate on system-level hardware roadmaps while owning module-level architecture, power delivery networks (PDN), and functional block integration.

High-Speed Design & Integrity:

Design, route, and optimize high-speed digital interfaces (PCIe, LPDDR4/5, MIPI, USB-C/UFS) while partnering with simulation specialists to ensure robust Signal and Power Integrity (SI/PI).

Power Architecture:

Design multi-rail power trees, high-current DC-DC converters, and power sequencing for high-TDPpute engines.

DVE & Characterization:

Lead board-level bring-up, Design Validation Engineering (DVE), and low-level hardware characterization using high-speed oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, andpliance testing tools.

Cross-Functional Integration:

Partner closely with mechanical, thermal, firmware, and optical teams to integrate camera sensors, illumination, andpute assemblies into production-ready platforms.

Job Qualifications:
Education:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent experience.

Experience:

6+ years of hands-on electrical design experience withplex digital hardware in consumer electronics, automotive ADAS, medical imaging, or high-performance edgepute.

High-Speed Protocols:

Proven track record designing with high-speed digital interfaces such as PCIe, DDR4/5 or

LPDDR, MIPI

CSI, and USB 3.x/UFS.

Power Electronics:

Practical experience designing multi-rail power trees, high-current regulators, and power management IC (PMIC) sequencing.

ECAD Tools:

Strong proficiency with Cadence Allegro/OrCAD or Altium Designer for schematic capture and layout oversight.

Bring-up & Validation:

Demonstrated capability in hardware bring-up, debugging, signal characterization, and root-cause failure analysis.

Preferred Job Qualifications:
Compute Platforms:

Exposure to high-performance SoC or SoM platforms (e.g., Quam, MediaTek, NVIDIA Jetson, TI Jacinto, or x86 architectures).

SI/PI Simulation:

Familiarity with SPICE, HyperLynx, or Sigrity for power integrity and high-speed line simulation.

Optics & Vision:

Experience integrating camera modules, image signal processors (ISPs), or high-bandwidth vision hardware.

Firmware Interaction:

Ability to work closely with embedded software/firmware engineers to debug low-level drivers and hardware interfaces.
