About the
Role:
The 2027 Summer Internship in Electrical Engineering offers a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in the design, development, and testing of electrical systems and components. Interns will work closely with experienced engineers to contribute to real-world projects that impact building performance. This role is designed to enhance technical knowledge while developing problem-solving and project management skills in a professional engineering environment. By the end of the internship, candidates will have a comprehensive understanding of electrical engineering principles applied in industry settings and will have contributed meaningfully to ongoing commercial building projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering or a closely related field. Strong foundational knowledge of electrical engineering concepts. Proficiency in using simulation and design software such as Revit. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous internship or project experience in an engineering or technical environment. Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements related to electrical engineering. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the design and simulation of electrical building systems using industry-standard software tools. Collaborate with the full-service design team to integrate electrical components into larger building systems. Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to improve design functionality and efficiency.
