Electrical Engineering Intern Mead & Hunt, Inc United States, Wisconsin, Milwaukee Sep 09, 2026 Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is seeking a full-time, limited-term Electrical Engineering Intern to join our Greenhouse Gas Reduction Electrical Engineering Team in our West Allis, WI office. This internship is anticipated to begin in May/June 2027 and continue through August/September 2027. As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will support engineers and project teams on a variety of electrical engineering projects while gaining exposure to all phases of project development and design. This role provides an opportunity to develop technical skills through real-world project experience and mentorship from experienced professionals.

Responsibilities include:

Assisting engineers with the design and analysis of industrial electrical and controls systems, including the design of low-voltage power distribution systems, lighting systems, and instrumentation and control systems

Assisting with the analysis, preparation, and modification of reports, plans, drawings, schedules, studies, and designs for engineering projects.

Utilizing engineering and design software such as AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.

Developing technical skills through mentorship and guidance from senior engineers.

May attend client meetings and assist with client communications related to specific projects.

participate in project-related travel.

Performing other duties as assigned.

The successful candidate must have:

Completed at least two (four preferred) semesters of college-level coursework in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field, and an interest in industrial power distribution and/or control systems.

The preferred candidate will have:

Previous industrial internship experience

Familiarity with AutoCAD

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Familiarity with applicable regulatory codes

Strong enthusiasm for learning and professional development

Eagerness to grow technical and projectbased skills

Good written and verbal communication skills

Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to seek feedback
