Responsibilities Develop detailed electrical and telecommunications system designs using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and NavisWorks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications. Create comprehensive schematics, wiring diagrams, and CAD documentation for electrical systems in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) and NFPA 70 standards. Utilize Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools to visualize system layouts in 3D, facilitating coordination among multidisciplinary teams. Collaborate closely with engineering teams to integrate electrical system design with overall project plans, including layout design and system modeling. Prepare technical reports, system schematics, and detailed drawings for construction teams, ensuring clarity and precision in electrical wiring and system design. Conduct electrical drafting and layout design for building infrastructure projects, including PCB (Printed Circuit Board) design where applicable. Support construction activities by reviewing installation procedures, performing site inspections, and ensuring adherence to electrical building codes and safety standards. Requirements Proven experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, NavisWorks, Bluebeam, Creo or similar tools used for electrical engineering and design documentation. Strong knowledge of electrical system design principles including schematics creation, wiring layouts, and system modeling in BIM environments. Familiarity with electrical building codes such as NEC and NFPA 70 compliance requirements. Experience working on construction projects involving electrical wiring, layout design, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and control systems. Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering documentation accurately. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite for documentation purposes and project coordination. Knowledge of electrical engineering standards related to building information modeling (BIM), electrical drafting, and system integration. Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams on complex projects. Prior experience in construction or field implementation of electrical systems is highly desirable.
