BIM Designer - Electrical Construction Build the Digital Models Behind Complex Electrical Projects Are you a BIM Designer with Revit experience looking for an opportunity to work on complex electrical construction projects and develop your expertise in BIM, VDC, coordination, and prefabrication? We are seeking a detail-oriented BIM Designer to join a collaborative Virtual Design & Construction team. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with project managers, field teams, engineers, and other construction professionals to create accurate, constructible BIM models that directly support the successful installation of electrical systems in the field. You'll play an important role in taking projects from digital design and coordination through construction and final documentation. What You'll Do Develop, maintain, and update Revit BIM models for electrical construction projects. Set up and manage Revit central models, sheets, views, legends, schedules, families, filters, and linked coordination files. Produce accurate project drawings, revisions, and final record/as-built documentation. Collaborate with project teams to ensure BIM models accurately reflect construction requirements and field conditions. Coordinate electrical layouts involving conduit, cable tray, equipment, and other electrical systems . Support clash detection and resolution using Navisworks . Identify coordination issues and work with project teams to develop practical solutions that improve constructability. Develop prefabrication-ready models and generate layout files for field installation. Support field and VDC teams with coordinated models, layouts, and other BIM deliverables. Apply BIM standards, templates, naming conventions, and document-control procedures. Maintain accurate project files, folders, model versions, and coordination data. Use Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) to collaborate, synchronize models, and manage project information. Assist with clash reports, model updates, and coordination issues throughout the project lifecycle. Help ensure BIM deliverables meet project specifications, industry standards, and constructability requirements. What We're Looking For High school diploma or GED required. 1+ year of Revit/BIM experience OR 5+ years of electrical construction experience with an interest in transitioning into BIM/VDC. Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit and Navisworks or comparable BIM/coordination software. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 , including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams. Experience using Bluebeam for document review, markups, and collaboration. Strong understanding of electrical construction is highly valued. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and solve coordination problems. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines. Comfortable working onsite when required and traveling approximately 5-10% . Experience with healthcare, commercial, industrial, or mission-critical construction projects is a plus.
