Job Description

We are seeking individuals with experience in programming PLCs. Prospective employees must be willing and able to travel in all 48 Contiguous States and Mexico and be able to lift at least 50 lbs. In addition, they must be eager to learn and multitask. The workload breakdown is 50% desk work and 50% field work. Job Description:
  • Research, design, test, implement, troubleshoot, and maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) controls systems to meet client or employer needs throughout project or product lifecycle.
Communicate project status to other departments and manufacturing plants. Coordinate equipment modifications including scheduling, part procurement, advanced production planning, maintenance requests, training, and troubleshooting. Creating, modify, and review process control details relating to new products or product design changes. Complete test runs, adjustments, safety checks and capability studies for new/revised equipment, products and processes required by company quality and safety standards. Test cost reduction ideas to ensure no compromises are made in product/process quality, safety, or workability - develop countermeasures if necessary. Provides technical support to all departments to implement improvements, installations, and repairs to ensure safety guidelines and ergonomic principles are observed. Maintains specified records, files, and documentation. Work with director of controls to develop PLC programs and learn best practices for PLC implementation. Aid in project management when required. Develop electrical drawings in AutoCAD or Eplan format. Help with field wiring on installations when required on occasions.
Job Requirements:
  • Knowledge of PLC software (Preferred Rockwell Studio 5000)
  • Minimum 2 years of PLC and automation experience
  • Willingness to learn multiple PLC programming software platforms such as Rockwell, Siemens, and Omron.
  • Basic understanding of electrical schematics.
  • Knowledge of HMI software (Preferred Rockwell)
  • Willingness to learn multiple HMI programming software platforms such as Rockwell, Siemens, Ignition, etc..
  • Basic understanding of the industrial equipment and manufacturing processes. Eligible to work in U.S. Valid US Passport or Obtain Passport.
  • Able to read components, assembly, and equipment drawings.
  • Valid Driver's License, Transportation.
Willing to Travel up to 50% if needed.
Optional Requirements:
  • Python or Java scripting experience
  • Robotics knowledge
  • Electrical engineering degree
  • Mechanical engineering degree
