Electro-Mechanical/PLC Programmer Technician Location:

Elk Grove, IL Pay:

$40 - $42.50 per hour

Shifts Available:

12 hour Day Shift (no rotation), 12 hour Night Shift (no rotation)

Full Time Permanent Responsibilities:

Regular inspections on all electrical equipment including motors, generators, control panels, systems, switches, lighting, circuits and circuit breakers; clean, maintain, adjust and lubricate equipment. Uses electrical test equipment, drawings, electrical blueprints, wiring and PLC schematic diagrams, to install new equipment and diagnose problems with inoperative equipment; modify and improve existing equipment; determine whether or not temporary continuation of operation will have any harmful effect on equipment; advises Team and Production Supervisor when immediate shut down of equipment is necessary to minimize damage; determine methods to minimize interruption of production Stop, start and adjust industrial oven gas and air Monitor, inspect and calibrate computer relay systems, analyze and make repairs.

Qualifications:

High School graduate or equivalent Minimum 5 years of experience working with PLCs and HMI programming Experience with testing equipment used for troubleshooting systems Able to read electrical schematics, PLC programs Experience AC/DC equipment, motors, generators, control panels, switches, lighting circuit breakers, and relay systems, variable speed drives and programmable controllers. Knowledge of PLC networking with Automax (Reliance) system, Allen Bradley Processors using RSLogix 500 and 5000 software with linkages between systems. Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot, repair or replace portions of, or entirety of, specialized electromechanical systems in hydro, hydraulic, or pneumatic equipment.
