The Electrical Engineer III leads electrical design on mid- to large-scale projects across industrial, commercial, and residential sectors, serving as a senior technical resource for junior engineers while managing QA/QC processes and client-facing responsibilities. Annually BOE Responsibilities:

Lead electrical design on mid- to large-scale projects, including power distribution and lighting systems for industrial, commercial, and residential applications. Oversee QA/QC processes to ensure design accuracy, code compliance, and overall project quality. Serve as a primary technical resource for junior engineers, providing design direction and mentorship. Collaborate with project managers on design strategy, scope development, and project execution planning. Manage client-facing communications, including design reviews, coordination meetings, and technical presentations. Apply NEC code and IEEE standards throughout all phases of electrical design and documentation. Coordinate with electrical design and estimation teams as well as other trades to ensure integrated project delivery. Utilize power system study software such as SKM, AutoCAD, Revit, and lighting design tools such as AGi32 to develop and document design solutions. Review and evaluate electrical drawings and specifications for completeness, accuracy, and code compliance. Work independently and follow directives from team leads while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering. 5 or more years of experience in electrical power distribution and lighting system design for industrial, commercial, and residential projects. Strong knowledge of NEC code and IEEE standards. Experience with SKM or similar power system study software; proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit. Familiarity with lighting design software such as AGi32 is a plus.

Highly preferred:

experience in electrical consulting and design within industries such as hyperscale data centers, wastewater, food processing, commercial, pharmaceutical, power generation, K-12, industrial, or healthcare. Engineers with a background in Mechanical, Plumbing, Civil, or Architectural trades are encouraged to apply. Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and collaborate effectively across disciplines. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interface directly with clients and project stakeholders. Remote candidates considered with 8 or more years of engineering experience and a verifiable record of accountability.

Physical Requirements:

Regularly required to sit, stand, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard for prolonged periods. Regularly spend multiple hours using and looking at a computer screen. Specific vision abilities required include close vision due to computer work. Light to moderate lifting may be required occasionally. May need to occasionally travel to job sites. Must be available to work Monday through Friday as well as weekends as project demands require.

Pay Transparency:

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $80,000 to $117,000 annually, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location.
