Expected Hours:

45-50 hours per week initially, increasing to approximately 60 hours during installation. We are seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to support the development, programming, debugging, and installation of an automated final assembly cell. This position requires expert-level Siemens PLC experience and hands-on Ignition HMI development. The Controls Engineer will work onsite in Holland, Michigan throughout the programming and debugging phase. Travel to Florida will be required during the installation phase, tentatively scheduled from mid-January through the end of February. The anticipated travel rotation is two weeks onsite followed by one week home.

Responsibilities:

Develop, program, and debug Siemens PLC-based automation systems Program and integrate Siemens servo systems Develop and troubleshoot Ignition HMI applications Integrate pneumatic motion systems Support Bosch pallet conveyor systems Integrate Estic torque drivers Develop and troubleshoot customer MES transactions Perform system testing, commissioning, and production-floor debugging Support equipment installation and startup in Florida Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, and customer teams Document software changes, system functionality, and troubleshooting activities

Required Qualifications:

Strong professional experience programming Siemens PLCs Hands-on Siemens servo programming and integration experience Strong Ignition HMI development experience Experience with automated assembly cells or manufacturing automation Experience integrating pneumatic motion systems Experience with industrial conveyors, preferably Bosch pallet conveyors Experience integrating torque tooling, preferably Estic torque drivers Experience communicating with or integrating customer MES platforms Ability to troubleshoot controls systems during equipment build, debug, installation, and startup Willingness to work 45-50 hours per week initially and approximately 60 hours per week during installation Ability to travel to Florida as needed on a two-weeks-on/one-week-home rotation Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship; U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents are eligible

Schedule and Travel:

Programming/debug phase: 100% onsite in Holland, MI Standard hours: 7:00 AM-3:30 PM Initial workload: approximately 45-50 hours per week Installation workload: approximately 60 hours per week Florida installation: tentatively mid-January through the end of February Travel rotation: two weeks onsite and one week home Pay is depending on experience and qualifications.
