Accentuate Staffing is working with an established industrial automation company in the Morrisville area that develops sophisticated, custom-built equipment for demanding manufacturing environments. This engineer will influence machine performance from early controls design through integration, startup, and customer handoff, with meaningful ownership of systems that combine electrical controls, robotics, motion, sensing, and operator interfaces. The ideal candidate brings several years of hands-on automation experience and can develop PLC and HMI applications, integrate industrial robots and motion devices, produce electrical documentation, and troubleshoot equipment at the machine level. Experience with Allen-Bradley or Omron controls, FANUC or collaborative robotics, AutoCAD Electrical, and vision systems will translate especially well.

Responsibilities:

Design machine-control architectures and create electrical schematics, drawings, component selections, and interface specifications for custom automation equipment. Develop PLC and HMI applications from the ground up and integrate servos, actuators, sensors, pneumatics, industrial networks, safety devices, and related machine hardware. Program and integrate industrial and collaborative robots for material handling, assembly, packaging, and palletizing applications, including required safety assessments. Power up, configure, test, commission, and troubleshoot new and installed systems while reviewing build quality and coordinating closely with mechanical engineers, assemblers, and technicians. Evaluate and improve legacy controls code, diagnose recurring system issues, and implement reliable modifications in-house and at customer sites. Prepare customer-ready schematics, spare-parts information, user manuals, validation-support documentation, and training for operators and engineers.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline; electrical engineering is preferred. At least four years of industrial automation experience, including three or more years developing PLC applications; Allen-Bradley experience is preferred and Omron experience is relevant. Demonstrated HMI development plus motion-control, actuator, servo, sensor, and industrial-network integration experience. Hands-on experience programming industrial robots or autonomous mobile robots; FANUC, Universal Robots, or MiR experience is especially valuable. Proficiency troubleshooting complex controls systems and producing electrical documentation in AutoCAD Electrical; ability to interpret mechanical drawings is required.
