Job Summary:
We are seeking a Staff Electrical Designer to support planning, design development, and production work across a diverse portfolio of projects. Our team is looking for someone who can contribute to electrical design deliverables, collaborate across disciplines, and help maintain quality, accuracy, and schedule adherence throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
Develop electrical design deliverables, including schematics, grid plan layouts, power systems, lighting systems, protection and controls, and site and facility design. Prepare drawings for production work, including design layouts, calculations, redlines, mark-ups, and revisions for ongoing projects. Review reports, drawings, tests, and design documents to support project planning, quality assurance, and compliance with codes and specifications. Coordinate clearly with project managers, engineers, and designers to resolve drawing or design issues and support project objectives.
Required:
Bachelor Degree in drafting technology or related field with a minimum of 7 years related experience, or Associate Degree with a minimum of 8 years related experience, or High School with a minimum of 9 years progressive detailing and design experience. Advanced understanding of AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Excel for development of design deliverables. Advanced ability to use both 2D and 3D applications to prepare engineering drawings. Strong knowledge of design, calculations, and design systems, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
