PLC Programmer Flexicon Corporation - 3.4 Bethlehem, PA Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Technical documentation Electrical schematic reading and interpretation Continuous improvement System development Materials handling Electrical Engineering Full Job Description We are seeking a PLC Programmer to support the design, development, and implementation of control systems for automated conveying equipment and material handling systems. This role will work closely with mechanical engineering, production, and project teams to develop reliable machine control solutions. The position is open to entry-level candidates with strong technical foundations as well as intermediate engineers with hands-on automation experience. Key Responsibilities Design and develop PLC-based control systems for conveying and material handling equipment Program and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and drive systems Electrical panel design, component selection, and control architecture Configure and integrate industrial communication networks Support machine testing, commissioning, and system validation Work with engineering teams to develop and improve automation solutions Create and maintain electrical schematics, control drawings, and technical documentation Assist with system troubleshooting and root cause analysis during machine development Support standardization and continuous improvement of control system designs Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or related field OR equivalent hands-on experience in industrial automation Basic understanding of PLC programming and industrial controls Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a team-based engineering environment Preferred Qualifications Experience with Allen‑Bradley / Rockwell Automation PLC platforms (CompactLogix, ControlLogix, Micro800) Experience programming and troubleshooting Rockwell PLC platforms
