Job Description
Job Summary This position offers the opportunity to utilize and further develop drafting skills while working in a collaborative, multi-disciplined team environment. The role focuses on preparing design drawings based on provided design input and supports both 2D and 3D design efforts. The position follows a hybrid work schedule, combining in-office collaboration with remote work flexibility. Responsibilities Prepare design drawings based on design input in collaboration with designers and engineers Apply computer-aided drafting skills using standard drafting tools Participate in hands-on training within 3D design software environments Create master sketches to scale that show proposed installations in relation to existing facilities, including precise specifications and dimensions Assist experienced designers during walkdowns at client facilities to gather design-related information Interface with vendors and construction contractors to explain drawings and support design adjustments Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously Qualifications Associate's degree in a technical field including drafting, or a high school diploma with equivalent technical design experience Advanced drafting experience using standard computer-aided drafting tools Proficiency with MicroStation Ability to visualize parts and systems in three dimensions without the aid of computer modeling Strong multitasking skills across multiple projects Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles used in producing technical plans, drawings, and models is preferred Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology, including relating equipment to technical designs, is preferred Additional Information Hybrid work schedule with a mix of in-office and remote work U.S. work authorization is required; sponsorship is not available for this role
