Job Description

Job Description An employer sitting in Los Angeles, CA is looking to hire a Senior Pipeline Designer (Plant 3D). This person will be required to work onsite in a hybrid model x3 days a week in DTLA. After that, this person can work remotely for the majority of their contract. He/she will be working under their Gas Engineering department supporting various Transmission and Pipeline projects for design work. This person will be responsible for working in an independent and collaborative within a team environment. He/She will be required to coordinate with multiple stakeholders on concurrent projects. This Intermediate designer will be required to develop P3D model(s) and production drawings with minimal supervision. This designer will need to be proficient in AutoCAD Plant 3D, with working knowledge of Civil 3D and/or applied working knowledge of Aveva. He/she should understand pipeline routing and construction drawing development. This role will be paying between $45-65/hour.
Additional responsibilities below:
  • Design and model pipeline and transmission infrastructure using AutoCAD Plant 3D (Plant 3D).
  • Develop 3D models, pipeline routing layouts, and construction drawing packages.
  • Coordinate with civil, structural, electrical, and instrumentation teams to support large infrastructure projects.
  • Produce project deliverables through all phases, including design, construction support, and as-built documentation.
  • Review designs for quality, resolve design conflicts, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

  • 3-5+ years of experience in Design experience, Proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D (P3D).
  • Ability to develop P3D models and production drawings, lead and mentor other designers, understand pipeline routing and construction drawing development
  • Any working knowledge of Civil 3D and/or Aveva Experience with transmission and pipeline projects
