Construction Manager Role Summary The VDC Designer - Electrical supports complex construction projects by creating, maintaining, and coordinating detailed 3D electrical models. This role requires strong proficiency in Revit, hands-on electrical trade experience, and the ability to deliver
LOD 350-400
electrical modeling. The position provides remote coordination and supports field teams by integrating 3D scans, resolving design conflicts, and ensuring model accuracy throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Model Creation & Maintenance Develop and maintain accurate electrical 3D models in Revit aligned with project requirements and industry standards. Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other external stakeholders to ensure cross‑discipline consistency. Clash Detection & Coordination Use Navisworks to perform clash detection and resolve conflicts between building systems. Coordinate closely with MEP teams to ensure integrated, clash‑free electrical designs. Remote Field Support Provide remote coordination for field operations, integrating 3D scans and field data into project models. Support field teams by ensuring accurate model updates and alignment with construction progress. Documentation & Quality Control Prepare technical documentation, drawings, schedules, and other deliverables required by project teams. Conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to project standards and deadlines. Technology & Innovation Stay current with emerging BIM/VDC technologies and apply improvements to modeling workflows. Utilize collaboration platforms such as BIM360 to enhance communication and model accessibility. Qualifications Technical Skills Minimum 2 years of experience in VDC/BIM and construction modeling. Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical project coordination. Proficiency in Revit required, with ability to create and manage detailed electrical models. Familiarity with Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM360 preferred. Experience in electrical trades. Experience with
LOD 350-400
electrical modeling. Skilled in sleeve drawings, embedded field points, and coordinating shop drawings. Understanding of MEP systems and their integration into coordinated models. Ability to read and interpret construction documentation. Soft Skills Strong problem‑solving abilities and coordination skills. Excellent communication and collaboration, especially in remote work environments. High attention to detail and accuracy in model creation and data input.
