Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and dependable individual to join our team as an Entry-Level 2D AutoCAD Designer . This position is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in design, manufacturing, and project management within the electronics industry. The primary responsibility will be creating and maintaining accurate 2D AutoCAD drawings, layouts, and manufacturing documentation for electronic products, enclosures, panels, and assemblies. The successful candidate will work closely with Management and Production to understand projects from design through manufacturing and completion. As experience and skills develop, the individual will have the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities and progress toward a Project Management role .
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and revise detailed 2D AutoCAD drawings for electronic equipment, components, enclosures, panels, and assemblies.
- Convert sketches, measurements, concepts, and markups into accurate manufacturing drawings.
- Prepare drawings with appropriate dimensions, materials, notes, and specifications.
- Assist with electrical/electronic layouts, wiring diagrams, and component placement.
- Maintain organized CAD files, revisions, BOMs, parts lists, and project documentation.
- Work with Management and Production to resolve drawing issues and ensure designs are manufacturable.
- Provide drawing clarification and support to Production when needed.
- Learn and understand the company's products, manufacturing processes, and procedures.
- Assist with project scheduling, material tracking, production coordination, and other project-related activities as experience increases.
- Take on additional responsibilities and progressively manage smaller projects.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD through education, training, or previous experience.
- Ability to read and understand basic technical drawings and measurements.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability and willingness to learn new software, processes, and manufacturing techniques.
- Dependable, accountable, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
