ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Support production by troubleshooting and programming existing and new plant automation equipment Program and design new and existing PLC controls Travel to sister plants as needed for completion of core job functions. Maintain accurate and consistent schedules for projects and tasks for multiple plant projects. Programming of robots and touching up points as needed to support production needs. Working with production and process to optimize line flow, cycle time issues and quality concerns through changes in programming or troubleshooting of controls. Program and design new and existing PLC controls. Help plan preventative maintenance plans for equipment in the plant both new and current. Work to help develop new technology for the plant to utilize in efforts to improve cycle times and quality detection / prevention systems. Help train plant techs and engineers on controls related skills. Create and correct plant electrical drawings for equipment. Work with plant teams to help develop accurate quoting models.
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
BSEE or BSME Degree required
Years of Experience:
3 - 5 Years of experience programming and troubleshooting PLCs and Robots 1-3 Years of Siemens S7 programming experience a plus
Other Requirements:
Regular and predictable attendance required High level of understanding of Fanuc Robots and ABB robot operations Demonstrated understanding of Ethernet cabling and addressing, Device Net, RIO, and wireless PC networking Understanding of basic concepts of MMIs, familiar with PanelView Plus and PanelView hardware Demonstrated understanding of Cognex In-Sight software Demonstrated knowledge of ladder logic programming, PLC 5, SLC500, ControlLogix, MicroLogix, RIO, Ethernet I/P, DeviceNet Demonstrated understanding of AC and DC motors and servo systems Working knowledge of Kinetix, Ultra3000, PowerFlex, 1305 and 1338 drives Valid driver's license required for business travel Work beyond the traditional 40 hours per week may be required as workload or projects dictate, including, nights, weekends and holidays
