Job Title:
Electrical Designer Job Description We are seeking a skilled Electrical Designer to create detailed engineering drawings using AutoCAD for electrical builds, modification projects, and upgrades or customization as per client specifications. The role involves maintaining CAD standards, learning client-specific equipment, and ensuring accurate and timely production of drawings. Responsibilities + Create and update engineering drawings using AutoCAD for various projects. + Track and prioritize assigned tasks to ensure timely completion. + Maintain company CAD standards and templates. + Learn and apply knowledge of electrical equipment, client-specific standards, and NEC guidelines. + Read and analyze blueprints, construction drawings, and plans. + Produce accurate drawings promptly and independently. + Evaluate designs for constructability and estimate material usage. + Create a bill of materials for design products. Essential Skills + Proficiency in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical. + Experience in AutoCAD 2D Design. + Experience with medium and low voltage equipment design, including relay/control panels. + Familiarity with power distribution and low voltage systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with control panel and relay panel design. + Understanding of steel fabrication and building enclosures Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Conroe, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
