Job Description

HIRING AN ELECTRICAL DESIGN INTERN IN HOUSTON, DALLAS, AND SAN ANTONIO ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Design requirements and concepts for power distribution diagrams, one-line diagrams, lighting, lighting controls, receptacles layout and circuiting to HVAC and plumbing equipment. Develop interior and exterior lighting plans based on photometric layouts and energy codes (IECC) and lighting control systems based on IECC and owner requirements. Use the National Electrical Code (NEC), energy codes (IECC and ASHRAE) NFPA 101, life safety other NFPA section and IBC. Understand the NEC to properly calculate electrical service, sizes, design electrical distribution systems using the proper conductor sizes, conductor derating and AIC ratings. Review submittals during the construction phase and respond to contractor questions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Pursuing a Bachelor's in Architectural Engineering. Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications. Familiar with AutoCAD/Revit. Ability to communicate and work with others as part of a project team. Works well in a fast-paced environment. Maintain a positive attitude. Show a willingness to learn and ask questions.
