Full Job Description Description:
The Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Designer is responsible for preparing electrical and instrumentation design deliverables for industrial projects under the direction of a Lead Designer or Engineer. This role develops construction drawings, wiring diagrams, loop drawings, conduit and cable tray layouts, cable schedules, material takeoffs, and other design documentation. The I&E Designer performs field surveys, supports both brownfield and greenfield projects, and collaborates with engineering teams to produce accurate, code-compliant designs for industrial facilities.
Requirements:
Associate degree in Drafting, Electrical Technology, Instrumentation Technology, or a related technical field preferred. 5-10 years of electrical and instrumentation design experience in industrial, petrochemical, refining, pipeline, power generation, or similar facilities. Proficiency in AutoCAD with experience developing E&I construction drawings. Working knowledge of industrial power distribution, motor controls, grounding, lighting, conduit and cable tray routing, instrumentation, control systems, and material takeoffs. Experience performing field surveys and supporting brownfield projects preferred. Current TWIC card, OSHA 10/30, AutoCAD certification, NCCER certification, or equivalent technical training preferred. Valid driver's license and the ability to obtain required client site credentials.
