Electrical Designer

Responsibilities:

• Design electrical systems for various projects, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems
• Create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts using Revit or AutoCAD and other design software
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure designs meet project requirements and specifications
• Conduct site visits to gather information and assess electrical needs
• Perform calculations to determine electrical load requirements and select appropriate equipment
• Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, and other technical documents
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations, such as NEC (National Electrical Code)
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely completion of projects
• Provide technical support during construction and installation phases

Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred
• Proven experience as an Electrical Designer or similar role
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit design software
• Strong knowledge of electrical system design principles and practices
• Familiarity with blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Experience with layout design software such as NavisWorks is a plus
• Knowledge of logic controllers and automation systems is desirable
• Understanding of electrical codes and regulations (NEC)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
