JOB TITLE
Intern, Design (part-time)
JOB LOCATION

DESCRIPTION
Supports the building components design team by learning core drafting and design tasks while gaining hands-on experience in a production environment. Works under close supervision to assist with component layouts, documentation, and project support.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist designers with basic component layouts and drafting tasks under direct supervision Prepare and organize project documentation, drawings, and design files Learn company design standards, tools, and production processes Support the team with revisions, data entry, and project tracking Apply feedback to build technical skills and professional judgment
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Basic understanding of drafting or design concepts Willingness to learn and follow direction Attention to detail and accuracy Clear written and verbal communication Ability to manage time across assigned tasks
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Pursuing a degree or technical certificate in drafting, design, engineering, construction management, or a related field
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching Occasional lifting up to approximately 25 lbs Occasional travel to vendors, subsidiary locations, or project sites
