Job Description:
BIM Specialist - MEP Engineering An established engineering consulting firm is seeking a BIM Specialist to join its growing team. This position will focus on the AutoCAD and Revit/BIM development of HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical systems for a variety of building projects. The BIM Specialist will work closely with engineers and project teams to develop construction documents, support BIM standards, and coordinate models across multiple disciplines. This is a strong opportunity for someone looking to expand their BIM and drafting expertise, with potential long-term growth into more advanced design responsibilities. Responsibilities Develop and modify Revit and AutoCAD drawings for HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical systems Produce construction documents based on engineering markups and design direction Create and maintain BIM models, drawings, sheets, details, and schedules Coordinate BIM models across multiple engineering disciplines Assist with BIM integration and standards across multiple projects Review architectural and engineering floor plans, schematics, details, and schedules Provide technical support related to Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM workflows Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and other project team members Qualifications 3+ years of relevant BIM/drafting experience Experience with Revit MEP and AutoCAD Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) Experience with Navisworks preferred Familiarity with HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical systems Ability to read and interpret building floor plans, schematics, details, and schedules Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a project team Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing deadlines
