Job Description

Infinite Networks - Infinite Audiovisual is seeking an experienced Audio Video Field Engineer with a strong background in hands-on installation, commissioning, programming, and troubleshooting of professional AV systems. The ideal candidate can take ownership in the field, solve problems independently, and deliver a clean, reliable final product. 5+ years experience required | Shure, Biamp, Extron, Crestron, Q-SYS

Role Focus:
Install, commission, program, and troubleshoot professional AV systems
Core Platforms:
Shure, Biamp, Extron, Crestron, and Q-SYS Work Style:
Client-facing field role with ownership from install through handoff

Detail-driven engineer with strong technical judgment and professional communication What You'll Do
  • Install and commission professional audio video systems, including audio, video, control, conferencing, and DSP components.
  • Program, configure, and troubleshoot systems built on Shure, Biamp, Extron, Crestron, and Q-SYS platforms.
  • Read AV drawings, signal flow diagrams, rack elevations, schematics, and scope documents.
  • Perform rack integration, cable terminations, labeling, firmware updates, and final device verification.
  • Tune DSPs, validate routing and control behavior, and complete functional testing before turnover.
  • Resolve field issues quickly while maintaining quality, schedule, and a professional job-site presence.
  • Communicate progress, punch-list items, and closeout details with project teams and clients. What You Bring
  • 5+ years of hands-on AV installation, commissioning, and programming experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of Shure, Biamp, Extron, Crestron, and Q-SYS platforms.
  • Solid understanding of signal flow, DSP configuration, control systems, and networked AV devices.
  • Ability to troubleshoot audio, video, control, and connectivity issues independently on-site.
  • Experience with field tools, rack work, cable pulls, and system turn-up.
  • Ability to read construction drawings, schematics, one-lines, and integration documentation.
  • Professional communication skills, a valid driver's license, and ability to travel to job sites as needed. Preferred Qualifications
  • CTS, CTS-I, or relevant manufacturer certifications or training.
  • Experience with Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, or similar conferencing platforms.
  • Familiarity with network switches, VLAN basics, PoE, and IP-based AV workflows.
  • Experience with client training, punch-list resolution, and final turnover documentation. Physical & Work Requirements
  • Comfortable working on construction sites and in occupied spaces while maintaining a clean, safe workspace.
  • Able to lift equipment, work from ladders or lifts when needed, and perform hands-on field work throughout the day.

$45.00 - $60.00 per hour
