Job Description

Job Description GTMR, Inc. is seeking a Senior Electronics Design Engineer to join our family. The work location for this position is China Lake CA. In this role you will set up, configure and test multi-rack communication systems, troubleshoot and isolate system faults, write and test Linux-based software, write and test microcontroller-based software, provide on-site customer support.
Position Responsibilities:
Plans, conducts and documents tests on products, systems, components, materials, and manufacturing processes and technologies. Coordinates test requirements, determines test methods and capabilities. Conducts system test preparations by coordinating system integration, modification, setup, checkout and teardown. Conducts tests, analyzes data and documents results; participates in test readiness reviews. Troubleshoots and resolves laboratory, system and test-related problems. Coordinates test laboratory activities and on-site test events, maintenance and repairs. Qualifications This position requires an active Current Secret US Security Clearance and be eligible for Top Secret clearance. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Experience analyzing existing Electronic and/or RF Systems, designs and developing comprehensive system test criteria. Experience in presenting status and technical alternatives as required for new or existing Electronic and/or RF systems. Experience with Electronic and/or RF (Radio Frequency) measurements, testing procedures and test equipment. Identifies and resolves test anomalies. Demonstrate ability to think independently and adapt to changing requirements. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience writing, reviewing and updating test procedures. Experience working in a T&E lab environment Work shifts are variable and could include day/evening/night. Possible weekend work may be necessary depending on customer requirements and schedules. Occasional travel will be required
Education/Experience:
Bachelor degree in related discipline and typically 4 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience in RF Engineering specific to RF Communications and SIGINT sensors. This is a part-time position.
