is seeking a Principal Consultant Electronics Engineer (Level 5) to drive the design, development, and innovation of advanced aerospace electronic systems Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and validation of advanced aerospace electronic systems including power converters, motor drives, and system controllers Define and execute hardware design strategies for AC/DC converters, variable frequency motor drives, and control systems Analyze customer requirements and develop hardware requirements specifications and interface control documents Perform circuit design, schematic capture, and simulation using tools such as Altium and OrCAD PSPICE Develop control algorithms using MATLAB/Simulink and perform system-level modeling Lead magnetics design for EMI filters, inductors, and input/output filtering solutions Conduct worst-case analysis, thermal analysis, component derating, and performance margin evaluations Oversee PCB design, board bring-up, and functional validation at system and component levels Develop and execute verification and validation plans, including DVTP and DVTR documentation Ensure compliance with aerospace standards such as RTCA/DO-160 and DO-254 Lead technical problem-solving activities and drive innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges Interface with internal teams, suppliers, and OEM customers to support product development and delivery Review and approve engineering changes, ensuring technical integrity and compliance Mentor engineers, lead design reviews, and contribute to engineering best practices and continuous improvement Qualifications Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited or equivalent) 20+ years of electronics design experience (Bachelor's), 15+ years (Master's), or 10+ years (PhD) in aerospace or high-reliability industries Strong expertise in power electronics design, including DC-DC converters, active rectifiers, motor drives, and control systems Advanced experience with circuit simulation and design tools (Altium, OrCAD, PSPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, PSIM) Deep understanding of aerospace standards and compliance requirements (RTCA/DO-160, DO-254) Proven capability in analog and digital design, EMI/EMC considerations, and system-level integration Experience with communication protocols such as CAN, ARINC, SPI, and RS-232 Hands-on laboratory experience with electronic test equipment and system validation Demonstrated leadership experience, including mentoring teams and leading technical projects Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to independently drive complex engineering solutions What We Offer Competitive Compensation
