Our services also include board repairs for Advantest and Catalyst testers and authorized repair and calibration of Advantest instruments.
Pay:
$91,800.32 - $100,000.00 per year Job description: Position Overview We are seeking a highly experienced Senior RMA Depot Repair / Failure Analysis Engineer to lead advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex customer and field issues within semiconductor and ATE environments. This role serves as a senior technical escalation point, partnering cross-functionally to resolve critical issues impacting customers, field operations, and product performance. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in multi-layer PCB diagnostics, schematic interpretation, and complex system-level troubleshooting across electrical, mechanical, and software domains. Key Responsibilities Provide advanced remote technical support to field service teams for escalated issues Lead complex troubleshooting and failure analysis for RMA and field-returned units Own and drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Corrective Actions (CA), and Preventive Actions (PA) Manage multiple high-priority escalations in a fast-paced environment Act as technical lead across cross-functional teams: Field Service R D NPI Production Quality Translate complex technical issues into clear, executable action plans Recommend improvements to product reliability, manufacturability, and serviceability Maintain thorough documentation of investigations, findings, and resolutions Support continuous improvement across repair and engineering processes Communicate effectively with both internal teams and external customers Required Qualifications 8+ years in Electrical Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Test Engineering, R D, NPI, or Quality Engineering 5+ years of hands-on experience in: Complex system troubleshooting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) CAPA methodologies Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems Proven ability to resolve high-complexity technical issues Expertise in reading and troubleshooting using schematics Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to break down complex problems into actionable steps Experience across full product lifecycle (NPI through sustaining) Preferred Qualifications Experience with ATE systems (Teradyne, Advantest) Background in semiconductor equipment or services Experience working in global, cross-functional teams Familiarity with quality methodologies (8D, FMEA, Six Sigma) Key Competencies Technical leadership and ownership Customer escalation management Cross-functional collaboration Prioritization and multitasking Strong attention to detail and execution Ability to perform under pressure Hands-on debugging of advanced circuit boards
