Description:

The primary role of this position is to serve as a senior professional electronics engineer with systems engineering responsibilities in assigned areas. The employee is considered the technical expert for the organizion in electronics engineering assignments reled to base-level cyberspace infrastructure and Western Range communicions systems. They provide technical leadership by planning, analyzing, and evaluing efforts to define total network systems, weapons systems, and subsystem requirements, transling those requirements into design criteria, evaluing alternive design approaches, and developing system specificions. The work spans multiple phases of the development process, during which the employee guides and evalues the design and development activities of others. Additionally, they are recognized as a functional/technical expert by colleagues within the organizion and are regularly sought out for advice and assistance. The employee actively pursues or crees certificion, qualificion, and developmental programs for themselves and others. They also guide and motive individuals and teams, focusing on project and program issues, and take ownership of processes and products as needed. Their problem-solving skills are applied to diverse, highly complex problems across multiple disciplines, and they establish precedents to enhance existing processes.

Ideal Candide:

• ABET Acredited Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical or Systems.
• Familiarity with Network Systems/Design and Western Range instrumention systems such as telemetry, radar, command transmitter, and communicion systems, or experience with similar systems.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to make technical recommendions while under time critical situions. Root cause investigive experience desired.
• Highly self-motived with ability to adapt and learn.
• Skill in establishing and maintaining effective relionships, building consensus and coalitions, negotiing, and resolving conflicts with a variety of individuals and organizions as well as communicing effectively, both orally and in writing.
