DEPARTMENT

: HBT Controls Service

JOB TITLE

: Service Engineer

JOB SUMMARY

: Perform engineering tasks as required to ensure proper system operability and completion of assigned projects or work orders in a timely manner. Typical tasks are; as built documentation, wiring diagrams, programming, graphic creations, onsite big picture and limited troubleshooting. Provide remote troubleshooting support for customers as required. This is a exempt salaried position (no overtime).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

: Maintain Hoffman standard engineering practices Maintain industry technical knowledge Engineering/Programming as required Onsite Big Picture Tasks as required Limited travel as required Remote troubleshooting support as required Provide Consistent and Clear Communications and Mentoring as required (Supervisor, Service Coordinator, Account Manager, Project Manager, Technicians and Customers)

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

: Knowledge of

HVAC DDC

Control Theory & Applications Proficient with Alerton/Tridium Programming Experience with electronics and electrical circuits Strong troubleshooting skills Computer hardware and software skills Ability to work independently and unsupervised Strong communications and interactive skills

CREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE

: AA degree in applied technology (preferred) Equivalent combination of education and experience HVAC and/or Mechanical systems experience Computer programming experience Troubleshooting experience
