Our client is looking for a Structured Cabling Field Engineer to work ONSITE at the data center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Description The Field Engineer (Structured Cabling) will be able to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems in a senior service support role. That includes testing, troubleshooting of system components and functions and field verification of connections, labels, installation and work quality. Will understand advanced system drawings, specifications and technical manuals. They will be able to create shop drawings and submittals for new project kick-off. Skilled at managing the technical work in the field with little supervision. Work could include work both "in house" and in the field when required. Quality-check the projects, test all equipment and functionality and create punch lists. Must have proven problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively read, write and give oral presentation(s). Must be able to diagnose and fix problems with existing equipment and new installs. Experience Level Intermediate Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cedar Rapids, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $41.00/hr.
