6-Month Contract-to-Hire Launch Your Career in Audiovisual Technology Are you interested in technology, problem-solving, and designing modern workplace environments? We're seeking a Junior AV Engineer to join a growing Audiovisual (AV) Engineering team supporting commercial offices, higher education institutions, healthcare organizations, and other clients throughout the Northeast. This is an entry-level opportunity designed for someone who is eager to learn. Whether your background is in IT support, audiovisual technology, engineering, networking, technical services, or design, we'll provide the training and mentorship needed to build a career in AV engineering. You'll work alongside experienced Systems Engineers, Project Managers, Sales teams, and Field Technicians while gaining exposure to the full audiovisual project lifecycle. What You'll Do Assist with the design of audiovisual systems for conference rooms, training spaces, classrooms, and corporate environments Support engineers in creating proposals, equipment lists, and project documentation Help coordinate projects with drafting and design teams Participate in client meetings to gather project requirements Review and update system drawings and documentation Attend project site visits to document construction progress and identify installation considerations Stage and test AV equipment before deployment Support installation teams with technical questions and troubleshooting Research products and assist with technical solution development Work with teams across engineering, sales, project management, and field operations What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Strong communication and interpersonal skills Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-up skills Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications Familiarity with Windows-based environments Interest in technology and willingness to learn new systems Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Preferred Qualifications Experience or exposure to any of the following is a plus: Audiovisual technology IT support or help desk Networking fundamentals Conference room technology Microsoft Teams Rooms or Zoom Rooms AutoCAD or Revit Technical troubleshooting Commercial construction or low-voltage systems What You'll Learn This role is designed as a training and development opportunity. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Andover, MA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
