Jobs › Andover, MA › Jr AV Engineer TEKsystems Jr AV Engineer Andover, MA Apply Launch Your Career in AV Engineering TEKsystems is partnering with a leading audiovisual integration company to identify a Junior AV Engineer who is eager to build a long-term career in the AV industry. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a technical background , strong attention to detail, and an interest in engineering, design, and cutting-edge technology. In this role, you will work alongside experienced AV Engineers and gain hands-on exposure to every phase of the project lifecycle, including system design, client meetings, drafting, testing, installation support, and troubleshooting. Responsibilities Assist senior engineers with AV system designs and project proposals Participate in client meetings to gather project requirements and project scope Coordinate project drawing schedules with external AutoCAD resources Review and develop system drawings using AutoCAD and Revit Attend job site meetings to document construction progress and identify installation challenges Support laboratory staging, testing, and quality assurance efforts Create punch lists and collaborate with programmers and technicians to resolve issues Provide technical support to installation teams and field engineers Assist with change order creation and project documentation updates Research and troubleshoot hardware, software, and system integration issues Participate in product evaluations, testing initiatives, and engineering development projects Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, Construction Management, Communications, or a related field preferred Equivalent work experience will also be considered Strong written and verbal communication skills Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications Familiarity with Windows operating systems and general computer networking concepts AutoCAD or Revit experience is preferred but not required Understanding of networking topologies, structured cabling, or commercial construction is a plus Strong desire to learn and grow within the AV industry Preferred background AV, IT, networking, low voltage, engineering, or technical internship experience Exposure to commercial construction projects Understanding of audiovisual systems and technologies Experience reading technical drawings, blueprints, or engineering documentation Why Apply? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
