The Diagnostic Service Software Release Engineer supports Ford's global diagnostic and software update ecosystem by identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving issues that impact vehicle diagnostics, module programming, and service software release. This role works closely with engineering, service, and data teams to analyze system failures, develop corrective actions, validate solutions, and ensure technicians can efficiently repair customer vehicles using Ford Diagnostic and Repair System (FDRS) tools and connected services. The Diagnostic Service Planning (DSP) team creates and distributes diagnostic software applications used by technicians around the world to diagnose customers' vehicles. This diagnostic software leverages some of the latest platforms and software technology to provide superior products and support. As a member of the Diagnostic Products Quality team, you will have the ability to provide solutions which directly enable technicians and help to repair customer vehicles within the day in some cases. An Diagnostic Service Software Release Engineer is primarily responsible for working with various technical teams to help identify issues; then work together to create then implement solutions to enable the dealership service tool. This position has global responsibility to enable resolutions for customers throughout the globe.
