As an SMT Process Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and improving surface-mount technology processes used in printed circuit board assembly. This role supports new-product introduction, SMT equipment programming, solder-paste printing, component placement, reflow profiling, and inspection processes. The engineer troubleshoots manufacturing defects, performs root-cause analysis, develops corrective actions, and works closely with production and quality teams to improve product quality, first-pass yield, efficiency, and equipment uptime. The position also creates process documentation, trains production personnel, and ensures compliance with applicable IPC standards and customer requirements. Responsibilities Control and improve the manufacturing process for circuit board assembly Program and support SMT Equipment (AOI, Automatic Pick & Place, Stencil Printer etc...) Work closely with the team of engineers to hone processes Keep detailed records of all findings, changes, and modifications Train operators, maintain process documentation Qualifications Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent field desired with experience Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Strong attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsBenefits
