Warren, Michigan, United States Talascend is currently seeking an Electrical Systems Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Warren, Michigan. Overview This role involves managing electrical module design release and ensuring technical quality for automotive electrical systems, supporting product development and supplier coordination. Responsibilities Create and maintain interface control design strategy and templates
Develop and maintain commodity-specific documentation
Generate and update global subsystem/component technical specifications
Lead resolution of technical issues and update related documentation
Coordinate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to support sourcing, design, and validation activities
Perform complex design analysis and validation of modules
Work with engineering, suppliers, and plant personnel to implement cost reductions and product improvements
Support problem investigations, warranty analysis, and service instruction updates Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, math, or computer science
At least 2 years of relevant experience
Knowledge of microcontroller architectures, memory technologies, and programming
Understanding of hardware design and failure modes in electronic modules
Familiarity with vehicle serial data communications (CAN/LIN)
Proficiency in writing and understanding software/hardware requirements
Knowledge of software verification/validation processes
Understanding of testing tools and data analysis
Ability to translate functional requirements into software algorithms
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Candidate must possess the legal authorization to work Preferred Qualifications DFMEA training
Software algorithm design and architecture knowledge
Engineering change management experience
Electronic validation experience
DFSS Black Belt certification
Experience with vehicle communication tools
Wiring experience
