Job Description

Newbuild Program Manager -US Navy Accountable for the cost, quality, schedule, and performance of a major new construction build located near Pascagoula, MS with potential for travel to other active shipyards and affiliate locations. This position requires experience in government shipyard construction and operations, marine engineering, and a working knowledge of government contracts.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
Coordinate and collaborate effectively with other company members through positive engagement and mutual respect. Hold colleagues accountable to this company-wide standard for interpersonal relationships Coordinate onsite Project Team (including: engineering, subcontracts, legal, parts coordination, and technical field services) and manages all aspects of project execution and delivery schedules (including: equipment deliveries, commissioning, and supporting vessel trials schedules) Serve as primary project point of contact to the customer from contract award through the end of warranty.
Work with:
Engineering, Site Management, and supporting Field Services Technical representatives to provide technical and integration support to customers and supporting project team. Maintain cost control while achieving quality standards & technical requirements. Support sales to win new projects Ensure delivered products meet contract requirements (including military standards/specifications) as prescribed per order Experience with direct deck plate/ hands on marine engineering; including installation and commissioning of shipboard propulsion and controls. Highly functional ability to read and interpret system diagrams, installation drawings, test procedures, and equipment specific technical manuals. Highly functional ability to evaluate deck plate issues and communicate back to engineers and technicians in order to resolve technical delays. Highly functional ability to lead non-direct field service technicians to accomplish customer milestone schedules Highly functional ability to understand the contractual obligations and communicate with direct customers throughout the build and commissioning cycle Highly functional ability to recognize contract conflicts and recommend change orders to the customer Accountable for cost, quality, schedule and performance of each project scope in the project. Accountable for managing projects in accordance with New Construction department procedures. Ensure that all contract, technical specifications, quality evidence and other supporting documentation is catalogued within systems and delivered as required by contract and internal processes. Develop working relationships within company and other strategic partner organizations to support project execution. Maintain familiarity with current company portfolio products

Project, SAP PS Educationand Experience:
HS/GED, Trade School, or Military plus minimum of 10 years in related industry role. B. S. in Mechanical/Marine Engineering preferred. PMP Certification preferred Must be a US Citizen. Must be eligible to obtain a US Government Secret Clearance. Background check and pre-employment drug screen required.
Pay:
$90,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
