As a Customer Service Engineer supporting FlexLab HT and Atellica product lines, you will be responsible for: You will be servicing FlexLab HT Total Laboratory Automation systems and Atellica Instrument analyzers at the MegaLab facility in Clifton, NJ. Customer Service Engineer level based on prior experience.Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing and performing preventative maintenance on FlexLab HT automation modules, analyzer connections, check-in/out stations, and pre/post-analytical equipment with minimal supervision. You will perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on Atellica analyzer systems to ensure continuous operation in a high-volume reference laboratory environment. You will be responsible for delivering both timely and effective repairs as well as adequate training of laboratory operators and technical staff to ensure optimal system performance and productivity. You will manage financial performance within your capacity, meeting or exceeding budget for revenue generation, expense control and inventory management. Ensure that all tool and test equipment expiration dates are managed, and that no overdue calibration test equipment is used or maintained in the field. Usage of tools and test equipment must be documented on eFSR. You will manage company assets issued to you to include a company car, cell phone, computer, tools, inventory parts, and other equipment. Establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers, as well as performing necessary administrative duties accurately. You have knowledge and experience performing service, preventative maintenance and modifications on laboratory automation systems or medical analyzer equipment at customer sites with minimal supervision. You have hands-on experience with FlexLab HT, Atellica systems, or comparable total laboratory automation platforms. You can establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers in high-complexity laboratory environments. You have experience testing, repairing and maintaining capital medical equipment and automation systems. You have strong customer service and communication skills, with ability to work with technical laboratory staff. You are proficient in the use of tools and service test equipment. General understanding of the principles of electricity, power supplies, grounding and pneumatic/hydraulic systems.Required skills:
Minimum high school diploma; technical associate's degree or equivalent preferred. Must be proficient in the use of hand tools and service test and diagnostic equipment (Multimeter), with the ability to work both individually and in an established team setting. Proficiency with productivity suitesMS Office:
Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel. Ability to train and be proficient in all necessary internal applications and tools (including but not limited to eVO, mButler, MS Office applications, Concur, NAM Customer Service website Engineer Tools). Can locate, read, and understand technical documentation including installation guides, repair procedures, troubleshooting flowcharts, schematics, block diagrams and functional descriptions. 3+ years experience as a medical technologist, field service engineer (biomedical engineer), or laboratory automation technician servicing analyzers or automation systems required. Experience with FlexLab HT, Atellica, or comparable systems is highly desired. Valid driver's license, ability to drive independently day and night, and good driving record required.Physical Requirements:
Lifting 50lbs (floor to above waist/head), walking, ladder/stepstool climbing, bending, twisting, sitting work, squatting work, standing work, high reach, fine grasping manipulation, good vision, and ability to work alone. Must demonstrate excellent judgment in customer relations and in managing company resources. Strong competency in automation and instrument systems technology to include mechanical systems, electrical systems, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and software interfaces. Understanding sample handling workflows and laboratory information systems. This role is governed by our Fleet Safety Policy. The base pay range for this position is: $66,980- $92,092 Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
