Full Job Description Field Service Engineer Shift:
Standard Day Shift (Varies during travel and field service projects)
Salary:
$75,000 to $100,000 per year Who We Are We are an established, growing North American industrial equipment and machinery distributor. Supported by a specialized international manufacturing partner, our US operations serve clients across North America with high-quality machinery and dedicated technical service. We are expanding our team to meet growing customer demand and better support our active field operations. Field Service Engineer Role The Field Service Engineer is responsible for providing high-level mechanical, electrical, and technical support through on-site equipment installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and remote customer support. Responsibilities Perform on-site installation, service, and maintenance on customer machinery across North America Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues on client equipment Travel between 70% to 75% of the time, with assignments ranging from single-day visits to multi-week projects Provide remote technical support via phone, email, and computer remote access when in the shop Utilize Salesforce ticketing systems to log, track, and manage customer service requests Perform mechanical repairs including motors, ball screws, bearings, and spindles Set up and move machinery using forklifts within the local shop facility as needed Collaborate with domestic and international service teams to troubleshoot challenging technical issues
Reporting Relationships Reports To:
Field Service Manager / Technical Service Management About You Possess strong foundational skills in mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting Willing and able to travel 70% to 75%+ throughout North America (US and Canada) Hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record (No DUIs due to travel and vehicle rental requirements) Maintain a valid passport or ability to obtain one for international travel into Canada Demonstrate proficiency with standard software tools such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel Possess CAD software exposure or familiarity to assist in navigating proprietary machine software Experience or background operating CNC machinery or similar industrial equipment preferred Display a strong work ethic, adaptability, and a team-oriented mindset Next Steps If you are a driven problem solver with strong hands-on technical skills and a willingness to travel, we would like to hear from you!
