  • 48/hour based on experience We're seeking skilled Field Technicians Troubleshooter
  • 100% travel opportunity with a strong focus on diagnostics, fault identification, and rapid problem-solving.
In this role, you will inspect, maintain, and repair a variety of rack & pinion elevator systems. You'll respond to breakdowns, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, implement corrective actions, and ensure equipment operates safely and reliably. This position requires hands-on expertise, the ability to work independently, and comfort working at extreme heights and in challenging industrial environments.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults on all makes and models of rack & pinion elevator equipment. Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and field modernization upgrades. Conduct inspections, preventive maintenance, and field evaluations. Respond to emergency calls and determine root causes quickly. Document all work in company systems. Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and internal teams. Follow safety procedures and always use proper PPE.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Strong mechanical, electrical and electromechanical aptitude; troubleshooting experience required. 3+ years of Industrial control troubleshooting experience. (or equivalent) Proficient with electrical testing equipment. (multi-meter, non-contact voltmeter) Strong knowledge of AC/DC circuits, motor controls, VFDs, PLCs, and industrial automation. Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently. Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics. Proficient with Microsoft Office. Must be able to travel extensively (up to 100%). Excellent customer service and communication skills. Must have current valid US Driver's License Must be over the age of 25 for auto insurance purposes Must meet the criteria to be insurable under our auto insurance policy Must have current, valid TWIC Card Must be able to acquire US Passport Must be able to pass relevant: background check, motor vehicle report, physical and drug/alcohol tests Must be willing, able to, and be comfortable working in extreme heights Comfortable working at extreme heights and in tight spaces. High school diploma or equivalent; Technical degree or apprenticeship preferred. State elevator licensing a plus.

Must be able to climb all structure types Must be able to lift and carry up to 80 lbs. Must be able to work in all weather conditions including inclement weather Must be able to comfortably work at extreme heights Must be able to work in enclosed spaces Must be able to sit, stand, walk, reach, lift, bend, squat, kneel, climb, balance, stoop, crawl, and crouch for extended periods of time Must be able to drive for extended periods of time Must be able to use hand tools and power tools Must be able to visually inspect equipment Company provides full benefits, company car, credit card, cell phone and laptop. $250./yr allowance for pants and boots #INDLI
