Job Description
Our Client, an Automotive company, is looking for a Special Exceptions - Eng for their Portland¸ OR location.
Responsibilities:
Lead the global development of HMI component functions. The main area will be infotainment functions (radio, multimedia, CarPlay, Android Audio, …).
Create technical concepts, requirements and specifications; project coordination; support of implementation and validation
Coordinate and support audio tuning and certification activities (technology, logistics, stakeholders)
Align and manage scope definition and scope changes incl. bug fixes
Align, create, and manage requirements and specifications incl. functional and non-functional aspects.
Ensure implementation and validation/verification of deliverables with internal and external partners
Create, align, track, maintain related timelines
Coordinate global stakeholders (e.g. requesters, internal teams, supplier, projects)
Oversee project responsibilities, including communication, milestone planning, and risk management, to meet on-time delivery goals.
Create documentation, reports, presentations
Requirements:
Master degree in a related field (e.g. Automotive Engineering)
Experience:
5 years in product development in related field
>2 years as function owner infotainment
Experience in development of automotive ECUs (SW and HW incl. CAN, AUTOSAR, Ethernet)
Experience in development of HMI functions, specifically infotainment functions (FM/AM, SXM, WX, HD Radio, DAB, multimedia, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, phone connectivity, …) and peripherals (antennas, speakers, microphones, ..)
Experience with planning and executing of certification activities for Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SXM, HD Radio, WiFi/BT, country certification to ensure compliance of our products
Experience with tuning the audio parameters of the infotainment platform (considering different cabin configuration incl. speakers and microphones) collaborating with external partners
Experience with analyzing defects on test benches and in vehicles and deriving resolutions
Experience in technical project management, coordination of cross-functional project partners and suppliers
Experience in Daimler Truck development processes (CVDS, SEDP) & knowledge of the global Daimler Truck product portfolio
Analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Tools:

Strong skills in communication and team coordination across global teams (considering different cultural backgrounds)
