In this role, you'll use advanced troubleshooting skills to service a manufacturer's full line of black-and-white and color-enabled machines. You'll work independently, support customers in the field, and continue building expertise through training, teamwork, and real-world problem solving. This is a great fit for someone who likes variety, takes pride in quality service, and enjoys being the person customers can count on when equipment needs attention. What You'll Do Attend and successfully complete manufacturer basic training classes. Build proficiency in servicing equipment across supported product lines. Learn complete assembly and disassembly procedures in the field or shop. Develop the ability to work independently with confidence. Troubleshoot machine problems using available tools, resources, and technical information. Perform equipment cleanings and preventative maintenance. Maintain, track, and protect assigned car stock and inventory. Participate in field training with other Technicians. Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and employees. Maintain a safe vehicle with secure storage for parts. Complete paperwork accurately and legibly, including timecards, equipment histories, and service orders. Learn and use communication systems with dispatch. Read, understand, and maintain Field Engineering bulletins and service information. Participate in the sales lead program. Support the sales team through prompt, effective machine service and communication. Learn and follow current procedures for returning parts and assemblies. Responsible for understanding, staying updated on, and abiding by the Employee Handbook as written. Perform other related duties as assigned. What We're Looking For Ability to work in-office and travel to client sites as needed. Strong technical curiosity and a hands-on approach to problem solving. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Maintain a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and required auto insurance coverage. Good judgment when determining whether parts should be replaced in a cost-effective manner. Ability to know when to escalate repair challenges to a Specialist or Senior Service Technician. Ability to think beyond provided information to resolve problems. Strong prioritization skills when managing customer needs, emergency calls, return visits, incomplete calls, and parts calls. Dependability in planning travel time and arriving to work on time. Communication & Customer Skills Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work well with customers, teammates, and internal departments. Effective team-building, coaching, and persuasion skills. Ability to handle complex, confidential, or sensitive issues professionally. A customer-first mindset and commitment to representing Loffler well in every interaction. Technical Skills Ability to troubleshoot and resolve electrical and mechanical equipment issues. Ability to troubleshoot software issues identified in manufacturer documentation. Ability to use service information, technical bulletins, and available resources to solve equipment problems. Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to identify creative solutions to complex issues.
