Duties Perform installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of printers, copiers, and multifunction devices on-site at customer locations. Diagnose hardware issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to identify faults in electro-mechanical components. Conduct routine preventive maintenance to ensure equipment operates efficiently and extend lifespan. Utilize hand tools and specialized field service equipment to perform mechanical repairs or component replacements. Troubleshoot software issues related to printer drivers, network connectivity, and embedded firmware; support computer networking aspects for seamless device integration. Provide technical customer support by explaining repair procedures, offering solutions for hardware or software problems, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Maintain detailed service records, logs of repairs performed, parts used, and diagnostic findings for each service call. Qualifications Proven experience as a service technician specializing in printer and copier repair or similar field service roles. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools for equipment repair. Familiarity with computer hardware, software troubleshooting, and network configurations related to office equipment. Ability to read schematics, electrical diagrams, and mechanical drawings to diagnose issues accurately. Knowledge of electro-mechanical components such as motors, sensors, switches, and circuit boards. Experience with maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) practices specific to office equipment. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical clients. Electrical experience combined with a good understanding of IT systems supporting office hardware. Ability to work independently in the field while managing multiple service calls efficiently.
