Job Description

Electrical Engineering candidate willing to be a part of a dynamic electronic repair facility supporting manufacturing equipment. The purpose of the job is to repair, upgrade, modify, or verify sub components of a wide variety of complex automatic/logic controlled electronic or electro-mechanical equipment at a component level.
Important duties include:
Using advanced diagnostic techniques; improvising circuits or equipment to special needs; working independently on assigned projects; performing complex analysis of major malfunctions to the component level; performing calibrations traceable to the National Bureau of Standards.
Important skills and abilities include:
setting up, operating and adjusting complex instrumentation; knowledge of analog, digital, and RF electronics; moderate circuit design abilities; high level of mechanical ability (i.e. considerable knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and fluidics, and safe working procedures)
Qualifications:
In the process of completing BS Electrical Engineering Degree with a focus on electronics Capable of working on projects without supervision Fundamental knowledge of AC and DC electronics Root cause problem solving skills Collaborative thinker Organized - project management Ability to effectively communicate findings, train others, and write documents In order to be considered for a summer internship with NXP you must be returning to school or graduating at the conclusion of the internship term.
