ABOUT BSU INC. BSU
Inc. is a fast-growing electronics manufacturing and design company serving government agencies, high-tech firms, and leading corporations across the United States.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a Quality Engineer who will own process quality across our production floor. You'll drive root-cause investigations, shape inspection standards, and work directly with production and engineering teams to deliver assemblies that consistently exceed customer and industry requirements.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) for production non-conformances. Develop, review, and maintain quality plans, control plans, and inspection procedures. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using data from defect tracking and process audits. Perform and oversee first-article inspections (FAI) and in-process quality audits. Interpret and apply
IPC-A-610, IPC
J-STD-001, and applicable military/government standards. Collaborate with engineering and supply chain teams on component qualification and supplier quality. Support internal and customer-facing quality reviews, audits, and compliance activities. Mentor quality inspectors and assemblers on workmanship standards.
WHAT YOU BRING
3+ years of quality engineering experience in electronics or PCB assembly manufacturing. Hands-on knowledge of IPC-A-610 and
IPC J-STD-001
; CIS/CIT certification is a strong plus. Experience with SMT, through-hole, and box-build assembly processes.
Proficiency in quality tools:
8D, FMEA, SPC, fishbone, and process audits. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, and assembly documentation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with
AS9100, ISO
9001, or ITAR-regulated environments is beneficial.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics Technology, or a related field required.
